Top Cat Catering is a Sydney based caterer specialising in wedding and events catering. They are a family owned business with more than 3 decades of experience within the catering Industry. The company provides end to end services to its clients including wedding/event planning, venue selection & styling and catering services.

The Job

The company approached Websites ‘N’ More in October 2015 to promote their website on search engines. Websites ‘N’ More has provided the following services to the client over the course of time,

• Search Engine Optimisation – To kick off the campaign our SEO team conducted a full website audit and presented a comprehensive report to the client. This report including key findings, areas of improvement, keyword research and analysis, competitor analysis and a strategy that would be used during the first three months of the campaign. Some keywords finalized for this campaign included Wedding Catering Sydney, Birthday Catering Sydney, Wedding Packages Sydney, Christening Catering Sydney. The next step was to focus on creating a better on-page structure in order to effectively target keywords and then we focused on off-page optimisation. While conducting off-page optimisation our SEO experts focused on getting links by conducting numerous out-reach campaigns whereby existing suppliers were targeted and asked to convert brand mentions into links. This helped us in boosting the rankings for Top Cat Catering tremendously.

• Website Maintenance – Our team of WordPress developers was also responsible for conducting regular maintenance of the client’s website.

• Content Creation – The copywriter at Websites ‘N’ More created new on-page content for effectively targeting keywords and regularly put together blogs that were used on the client’s website and on third-party websites to further build links and improve the overall crawl rate.

The Result

At the end of the first quarter (Jan 2016) of the campaign the organic traffic went up to 300 unique visitors per month on an average which was a rise of 110%. The client also reported a significant rise in the phone enquiries being received as well. Enquiries grew further as we moved towards the summer months and the rankings became stronger, the organic traffic stood at 378 unique visits for the month of November 2016.
