Parramatta City Legal is a leading law firm based in Parramatta, Sydney with offices in the CBD and Liverpool as well. The key focus of their legal practice is Compensation/Personal Injury Law, Family Law and Civil & Commercial Litigation.

The Job

Parramatta City Legal gave us the opportunity to work on their SEO campaign starting late July 2016. One of the major challenges during this campaign was that the website had been penalised by Google Panda and Penguin. This was mostly due to the low quality (short) content published on the website and the presence of spammy backlinks.

To kick off the project we did a complete website audit and presented a detailed report to the client which included an action plan to remove the penalties. Next up was selection of keywords based on their firms areas of practice. Some of the keywords we selected for the campaign included, Lawyers Parramatta, Compensation Lawyers Parramatta, Family Lawyers Parramatta, Divorce Law and Conveyancing Parramatta.

Removing the penalties was the most important aspect of this campaign so our SEO team worked on removing all the bad links and replacing the content on the website. Other on-page and off-page activities have been carried out simultaneously during the campaign in order to gain rankings on search engines as quickly as possible.

The Result

4 months into the campaign the website was penalty free and started appearing on the top 3 pages of Google, Yahoo and Bing. As of December 2016, the website is now appearing on Page 1 for 50% of the Keywords being targeted in the campaign.
